Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has disclosed what he
would have done if his Kano State counterpart, Abdullahi Ganduje was running
for the 2023 Presidency.
Wike said he would have stepped down and not run for the
Presidency if Ganduje was contesting.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to Ganduje in Kano, the
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential aspirant expressed gladness that
Ganduje was not in the race.
He urged his Kano State counterpart to support his 2023
Presidential ambition.
“If Ganduje is running for the presidency some of us will
quickly withdraw our ambitions, but thank God he is not running, and I’m sure
he will help me to make it,” Wike said.
Meanwhile, Ganduje had earlier warned Wike against pursuing
his Presidential ambition.
Ganduje had claimed Wike would lose if he runs for the
Presidency in 2023.
