Lauretta Onochie, President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide on
social media, has reacted to reports that two Nigerians were arrested in the
United Kingdom over alleged organ harvesting.
DAILY POST had reported that one Ike Ekweremadu and his wife
Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu were arrested in the UK for allegedly facilitating
the “travel of another person with a view to exploitation, namely organ
harvesting”.
Metropolitan police said the couple were charged with
conspiracy to arrange and facilitate the travel of another person with a view
to exploitation, namely organ harvesting.
Reacting, Onochie while commending the speedy process added
that ‘Nigeria’s criminal justice system has lessons to learn.
”Sen. Ike Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice, have Been
charged to court. No delay. No mago mago. Instant justice. No faffing about.
”Our criminal justice system in Nigeria has lessons to
learn. Speedy dispensation of justice would reduce animosity and anger.”
