A human rights activist and lawyer, Dele Farotimi, has
predicted a terrible revolution in Nigeria, stating that a storm is coming.
In a video clip on his official X handle on Tuesday, the
activist, who lamented the bad leadership in the country, enjoined citizens to
unite against corrupt leaders.
He said: “There is a coming deluge; ignore it at your own
peril. In 2020, the storm was not perfect because it played a religious card.
We even turned the peace protest in Lagos into an IPOB operation.
“There is a storm coming and it is a perfect storm. EndSARS
was just a shower; this is the time to recognize the commonalities of our
afflictions. It is the time to be deliberate in uniting ourselves so that we
can isolate our enemies.
“We are more than them, they belong to no tribe. Fela said,
“they are beasts of no nation.” They don’t know anything about God. Those who
know God will not leave you to be starving when they are spending about N90
billion to subsidize Hajj.
“The Nigerian revolution is not inevitable; it will only
become a revolution, which means a change, a turnaround, when you commit to
making it one.
“The difference between a revolution and anarchy is the plan
for the day after the storm. There is a storm coming.”
