Local authorities on Saturday said a Russian drone attack
killed a rail worker at a crossing outside Kyiv and falling drone fragments
struck a building inside the capital.
According to Kyiv region officials, the rail worker was
killed in Boryspil district, east of the city.
The strike was said to have sparked a fire in a storage area
and shattered windows in a multi-storey apartment building and an educational
institution.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said drone fragments fell on
private residences in the Solomyanskyi district in the west of the city,
prompting a fire that was quickly extinguished and smashing windows in a nearby
building.
Fortunately, he said, there were no casualties.
Air raid alerts were said to be in effect in Kyiv for about
three hours.
The regional governor of southern Zaporizhzhia said Russian
forces attacked the town of Huliaipole with a guided bomb, injuring three
people.
